eBay $6,789.00 | 1940’s WWII Levi’s S501 XX

This is what a six thousand dollar pair of jeans looks like.
Dating to the 1940’s, the Levi’s Lot S501 XX were produced for a limited time during WWII and have subsequently become one of the most sought after items of vintage denim ever.
So the story goes that LS&CO had to go easy on materials during the war so they made a few changes. The most famous being the donut hole buttons with the top button cast with laurel leaves as a sign of peace. There is an urban legend that says the holes from the donut buttons were saved and given to the military for use on bullets!?
Also the trademark levi back pocket arcuate where painted on by hand instead of the usual stitching. It is extremely rare to find a pair like this where the paint hasn’t worn off hence this outrageous price of almost $7,000!
Don’t forget to have a look at the matching WWII Levi’s Jacket.
