1960’s Levi’s 505 Big E Single Stitch Non-Selvage

The other pair of vintage levi’s courtesy of the LVC store london. Here we have a standard pair of 60’s 505’s identified by the Talon 42 zipper fly. Big E pre 1971, non selvage. These are entry level Big E vintage jeans and can be picked up for $100 or so, as they are made with an overlocked edge as apposed to other selvage 505’s from this period. Do compare the two pairs seeing if you can spot the key differences.

Talon 42 zip, newer less collectable 505’s will have a Levis own brand zip. Vintage 505’s will have either Talon 42, Gripper Zipper, Scovill or Lightning zippers.

Overlocked edge as opposed to selvage denotes less valuable jeans
