Re-bloged from The Vintage Showroom

“Original 501s hidden rivets all singing all dancing improvised (allegedly) for the runway back in 90s with GUCCI tags and hardware making them either worthless or priceless depending on your point of view!”
Re-blogged from SANFORIZED

Heres a cool 507 XX that just left the collection, never got round to posting it but here it is! This one came out of a huge clothing bale that arrived at my local thrift store, sadly way too small for me.

“These jeans belonged to my uncle who was killed in WWII (if you know the book, Unbroken, he was one of the countless young airmen who never made it out of pilot training). He was very tiny and slender and it’s possible that these jeans belonged to him as a young man but I believe he was around 14, or 1938, when he wore these. You can tell from the fading on the bottom of the legs that he turned the bottom of the jeans up to make cuffs; the jeans were probably too long for him.”
“These jeans are just some of my grandmother’s “treasures”, momentos of her son. My grandmother died in 1988, my uncle in 1944, and it seemed like maybe it was time to part with them, especially as any proceeds from this auction will be going towards repairs on my grandmother’s house.”
